Sheet S-101CAI Front Desk for Pest Control
AI answering service for pest control companies
An AI answering service for a pest control company picks up while your technicians are on routes, asks what the caller is seeing, such as wasps, rodents, termites or a real estate inspection, captures the address and callback number, flags urgent calls, and texts you the details. It does not identify pests, quote or schedule.

S-101C.1 · Call types
The calls a pest control line gets, sorted by what they need
A pest control phone carries a nest by the front door, a rodent in the attic, a closing-date inspection and a quarterly plan question. They need different callbacks.
- Flag first
Stinging insects
A wasp or bee nest by a door, a swarm on a fence, or insects near a play area. The call a homeowner wants answered now.
- Flag first
Rodents or activity indoors
Noises in the attic, droppings, or an animal seen in the house. Recorded as the caller describes it and flagged for callback.
- Lead
Termite or WDO inspection
A termite concern, or a wood-destroying organism (WDO) inspection for a sale. Often has a closing date, so the date is recorded.
- Routine
Recurring plan or general pest
Quarterly service, ants, roaches, or a customer switching companies. Worth keeping, not worth interrupting a treatment for.

What the assistant asks a pest control caller
The questions stay on what the caller sees and how soon it matters, in wording you review before go-live.
- What are you seeing: insects, rodents, termites or something else? The first split, in the caller’s words. The assistant does not identify the pest.
- Is it near people or pets right now, like a nest by a door?Separates the callback to make first from the service to book this week.
- Is this a home, a rental or a business?Rentals and businesses often involve a landlord or manager.
- Is this for a sale or closing? If so, what is the date?Inspection requests tied to a closing date are the ones with a deadline.
- Are you already a customer on a service plan?Optional. Keeps an existing-customer question apart from a new lead.
- What is the address, and the best number to reach you?So you can call back with nothing left to ask.

What lands on your phone
Detail 02 The summary you receive
- Call type
- Stinging insects, rodents, termite or WDO inspection, or plan question
- Urgency flag
- Marked when the caller reports stinging insects near people or activity indoors
- What was seen
- What the caller described, in their own words
- Site and timing
- Address, home, rental or business, and any closing date given
- Contact
- Name, callback number and preferred callback time
Stinging insects near people and activity inside the home are flagged for first callback. Inspection requests with a closing date are tagged so the deadline is easy to see. Scheduling and treatment stay with you.
The caller also gets a text confirming their details were received. See missed-call text-back for calls that never connect.
S-101C.4 · Sample call
A sample pest control call, start to finish
It is Saturday morning and your technicians are on routes. A homeowner calls and the assistant answers in your company name. The caller says wasps have built a nest over the front door and keep flying at the family. The assistant asks if the nest is near people right now, and the caller says yes, right by the entry.
It asks for the address, whether it is a home or a rental, and the best callback number, then confirms them back. The caller gets a text that the details were received.
On your phone, a summary arrives marked urgent: wasp nest, front door entry, address, number. A termite inspection request with a closing date sits below it, tagged so the deadline shows. You call the nest first. The assistant did not identify the insect, advise the caller or promise a visit time.
Real estate calls have a clock on them
A WDO inspection ordered for a sale often comes with a closing date, and the date matters more than the pest question. Capturing the date and the property type on the first call lets you work the callback list by deadline, while the quarterly-plan question waits its turn.
Detail 03 It won't
- Identify a pest from a description
- Tell a caller how to treat or avoid a nest
- Quote a treatment, plan or inspection price
- Promise a technician visit or a report date

S-101C.6 · Missed-call math
The missed-call math, with your own numbers
Revenue at risk each week equals the calls you miss, times the share of those that were new-customer jobs, times your average job value. Count a week of missed calls from your phone log, then fill in the three numbers yourself.
Your average job value. Count the first treatment, and decide whether to include ongoing service plans. If you track a value per new customer, use that.
This is the ceiling, not a forecast. Not every missed call would have become a job, and an AI receptionist does not rescue every one. Put your own result next to the monthly price above and decide for yourself.
Detail 05 Worked example, hypothetical
Hypothetical round numbers, example only. They are not a statistic and not a result from any Summit customer. Use your own.
- Calls missed in a week
- 5
- Share that were new-customer jobs
- 2 of 5, or 40%
- Average job value
- $500
- Revenue at risk per week
- 5 x 40% x $500 = $1,000

Pest Control AI Front Desk questions
What does an AI answering service do for a pest control company?
It answers the call, asks what the caller is seeing, collects the address and a callback number, and texts you a summary with urgent calls flagged. It does not identify the pest, quote a treatment or schedule a technician.
Can it tell a wasp nest from a routine plan question?
It asks what the caller is seeing and whether it is near people right now, then tags the call. Stinging insects near people and activity indoors are flagged. Plan and general pest questions are marked separately.
Will it tell a caller what pest they have or what to do about it?
No. It records the caller’s description. It does not identify pests or give treatment or safety advice, and anything outside its script is handed to you.
Can it handle WDO and real estate inspection requests?
It records the request, the address, whether it is for a sale and the closing date if the caller gives one, and tags it so the deadline is easy to see. It does not schedule the inspection or quote it.
How is this different from a live pest control answering service?
A live service puts a person on the line to take a message. Our assistant answers with a script you approve, asks the same triage questions on every call and sends you a text summary. Callbacks, quotes and scheduling stay with you.
Do I need to tell pest control callers it is an AI or that a call is recorded?
This is general information, not legal advice. Disclosure and call-recording rules vary, and Florida has its own consent requirements. Confirm your greeting and any recording wording with a Florida attorney before go-live.
