What the text says
Short, named and human. Here is sample wording. We write the final version with you, so it sounds like your company.
Hi, this is [Business Name]. Sorry we missed your call. What can we help with? We will call you back as soon as we can.
Thanks for calling [Business Name]. We are with a customer right now. Reply with your address and the issue and we will call you back.
[Business Name] here. If this is an emergency, reply EMERGENCY and say what is happening, and we will get back to you first.

Texting in Florida: consent and compliance basics
This is general information, not legal advice. Texting rules can change and depend on your situation, so confirm your setup with an attorney.
- Federal and state rules both matter. Business texting is covered by federal law (the TCPA) and by Florida's own telephone solicitation law. Ask your attorney how both apply to replies to inbound callers and to any marketing texts.
- Keep the text about the call. A reply to someone who just called you is different from a promotion. Do not use text-back to push discounts or send marketing.
- Identify your business and honor STOP. Name your company in the text. If someone replies STOP, stop texting them.
- Business texting is registered with carriers. Carriers require business registration (A2P 10DLC) for application-to-person texting, and unregistered numbers can be filtered or blocked.
- Mind the hours. Do not send marketing texts late at night or early in the morning. Ask your attorney which hours apply to you.
